SPECIFICATIONS:
We follow the specification laid down by the Bureau of Indian Standards:
DIMENSIONS :
Malleable Cast Iron Pipe Fittings as per IS 1879/2010 upto latest amendments.
THREADS :
Threads as per IS -7.2 - 2000, and Gauges practice as per IS : 8999 - 2003 parallel female and taper male thread.
ALIGNMENT :
The angles of threads of fittings are 90° within a tolerance of + 2%
MARKING :
Each fitting is marked with our Trade Mark 'BM'
MATERIAL :
Black Heart Malleable as per IS : 14329/1995 GR : BM: 300
PRESSURE TEST :
The fittings are subject to a pressure test of an internal Hydraulic pressure of 2.1 Mpa i.e. 21.2 Kg/Cm* or 300 Lbs/Inch*
COMPRESSION TEST :
(a) Compression test of 5% is required for Ya" to 2" pipe fittings
(b) Compression test of 3% is required for pipe fittings above 2" i.e. 2%" to 6"
